I like the emphasis on becoming a thought leader - avoiding Spiritual Side Trips might mean doing things differently and not unthinkingly following just any popular idea.
Rose, this article is jam-packed with so much helpful information. I wanted to respond to your question 1 "When somebody is famous as a spiritual authority, like Eckhard Tolle, can’t you trust him to give you helpful advice?" - I think that fame has no relation to the truth.
Moreover, Eckhard Tolle’s chakra databanks have changed considerably since he vividly described his story of moving into Traditional Enlightenment. Research of his consciousness lifestyle over recent years has not shown Enlightenment any longer.
"Not now. Not in the Age of Awakening. How folks position their consciousness isn’t only personal. This has professional relevance, since a spiritual leader’s work aims to help followers to attain their spiritual ideals."
Thank you so much for this educational article on Spiritual Side Trip, Rose. Stage 3 Energetic Literacy can be immensely helpful to spiritual seekers with gaining discernment.
Thank you, Rose, for warning against Spiritual Side Trips.
It could save a person so much time that could be put to growth instead.
Really, Allison. Put to authentic growth instead!

Beautiful! Thank you.
I love this part:
"Please ask this one simple question before you take advice from anybody, no matter how popular that source might be:
What qualifies you to tell me about this?"
And how important ethically for a person to ask that question of themselves, before writing an article online or giving advice or trainings.
Agreed, Allison!
All of us make innocent mistakes. Who doesn't?
Yet presuming to be a spiritual teacher and leading trusting students on a Spiritual Side Trip? Pretty bad Karma, I suspect.

Really, why have conversations where you debate, "He said, she said"?
Instead everybody in the conversation can come up with similar, or complementary, observations about a person's chakra databanks.
Once we have good Stage 3 Energetic Literacy, we can spare ourselves endless theorizing. Spiritual Side Trips clearly show in a person's aura.
