Avoid Taking a Spiritual Side Trip. Beware wasting your hopes on something that cannot work.
Powered by Energy Spirituality® ENLIGHTENMENT COACHING
Why avoid taking a Spiritual Side Trip? To put it bluntly:
From a spiritual perspective you can waste your life. Just because you believed in doing something that turned out to be a Spiritual Side Trip.
Spirituality Wisdom Seeker, how common is it for people to warn you about this? Maybe not so much.
Let’s google “Spiritual Side Trip” to get an idea. On my Google, just now, 2,460 hits.
For comparison, let’s google “Danger”. On my Google, just now, 4.3 BILLION hits.
It’s not that I believe this is your only lifetime. (Do you?) Even so, in any human incarnation, squandering one’s emotional growth and spiritual evolution on something that cannot work? Seems to me, there’s no greater tragedy.
Fortunately, Forewarned Is Forearmed
That’s why I’m devoting this article to tackling the problem head on. Aiming to give you a clear picture of what it means to take a Spiritual Side Trip. And how to avoid doing this.
As a special treat, today’s article will give you an excerpt from my most recent book about spirituality. This how-to helps you to use your full potential in life: Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening.
This excerpt is adapted from Chapter 13. Not Chapter 1. Chapter 13.
To fill you in, I’ll supply two introductory chunks. Then you’ll be ready to fully appreciate what follows.
As always, along the way, ask your questions and share your reactions. Those questions can include naming a particular spiritual path that you’ve been wondering about. When you post a note, by all means, provide the url to a teacher or teaching.
WHY Can You Benefit from the Two Next Chunks of Knowledge?
Because you’ll need them in order to make authentic progress in your spiritual life. Not just to understand this particular article, thought that would be a nice touch.
If you’re a self-actualizing person living now — that is, living in the Age of Awakening — it’s vital for you to understand these new concepts.
Ideas that people couldn’t wrap their heads around before the Shift into the Age of Awakening, Dec. 21, 2012.
Concepts that ought to be mainstream by now. Since they’re not, here’s your chance at leadership.
What you’ll read about here? Not household words. Yet.
On the bright side, when you learn the following concepts ahead of the crowd, yes! You can benefit by becoming a thought leader.
Your First Intro
Graduate from Reading Energy. Do This Instead.
Please, do yourself a favor and start learning about Vibrational Frequencies, not just energies. Every non-physical energy you notice exists within one of three categories called “Vibrational Frequencies.”
Why can it make a huge difference for you to learn about Vibrational Frequencies? I’ll explain but first let’s back up and add context.
Before the Shift into the Age of Awakening, Dec. 21, 2012, guess what? It was considered really advanced to become energy sensitive: To sense or see or vibe out a person’s ENERGY.
You know what that means, right? Ever since 1980, some folks have begun to constantly talk about energy. Or chakras. Such as, “I like his energy.”
Living now, though? It’s way cooler to understand that energies are grouped into three main kinds of VIBRATIONAL FREQUENCY. Here’s the short list:
HUMAN Vibrational Frequencies. There are hundreds.
ASTRAL Vibrational Frequency. There are thousands.
The DIVINE Vibrational Frequency. There is one. Just one. Perfection everywhere now.
We can notice Vibrational Frequencies, talk about them sometimes, understand their significance. (In fact, you will become more sophisticated about this just by reading all the way to the end of this article.)
Your Second Intro
Stop Taking Advice from Random Teachers & Writers
Everybody these days has an opinion they think will really benefit you. Only, have you noticed? Readers have stopped asking about a writer’s qualifications to give advice. The internet has no gatekeepers. Nor do X or Meta, Substack or Medium.
You’re going to have to serve as your own gatekeeper. Please ask this one simple question before you take advice from anybody, no matter how popular that source might be:
What qualifies you to tell me about this?
Speaking of which, how about this writer and teacher?
My Standing to Teach You about Spiritual Side Trips
Here are a few ways to evaluate Rose Rosetree’s standing to help you with this article.
I’m the founder of Energy Spirituality®. (This link takes you to a video with my story about how this happened.)
Energy Spirituality means spirituality for this Age of Awakening. I don’t teach a path but, rather, I can help your existing path to work better. Or if you wish to design a path of your own, I can help you to do that better too, using discernment skills like Soul Thrill® Aura Research.
For good reason, these days I call myself an Enlightenment Coach for the Age of Awakening.
If you’d like, you can even read a fairly comprehensive introduction to the discernment I’ve brought to spiritual awakening and more.
All that said, let’s get started with the practical purpose of this article. Empowering you to avoid doing you know what . . . .
To Avoid Taking a Spiritual Side Trip #1.
What ARE Spiritual Side Trips?
Human life works best when your default is to position your consciousness at a HUMAN Vibrational Frequency. That used to happen automatically, during the Age of Faith. While, now, in the Age of Awakening, this isn’t a given. Not at all.
Spiritual Side Trips involve moving sideways on your path, rather than forward. A common example these days is Practicing Mindfulness.
Technically, on a Spiritual Side Trip you wind up positioning consciousness at some random ASTRAL Vibrational Frequency; doing this off and on, all day long. Or routinely doing this, leading to a consciousness lifestyle that leaves you out of touch with reality, like the consciousness lifestyle of Spiritual Addiction.
To Avoid Taking a Spiritual Side Trip #2.
Why Can’t Most Folks Tell When They’re on a Side Trip?
In the Age of Awakening, we spiritual teachers can’t do our jobs properly without energetic literacy, not when all our students have today’s new Consciousness Positioning Superpower. Which means, YOU . . . and every other human adult on Earth.
As a practical matter, spiritual seekers need to learn the truth about how they might be positioning consciousness. Answers show clearly in our chakra databanks. Snapshots of consciousness communicate that too, and don’t you deserve to know what’s what?
Imagine the mess if a trusted Enlightenment Teacher were to regale you with pretty-pretty “Enlightenment” tales that were really about astral experiences — and thus, as far away from Divine as could be.
Actually, you don’t have to imagine this mess happening. Since, I assure you, it already is.
Aha! A Question
Sorry, but I don’t get the connection yet. Why does it matter where pastors might go in their Vibrational Frequencies? Isn’t their job mainly preaching and teaching?
Not now. Not in the Age of Awakening. How folks position their consciousness isn’t only personal. This has professional relevance, since a spiritual leader’s work aims to help followers to attain their spiritual ideals.
Sadly, most of today’s pastors are as messed up as other members of today’s Enlightenment Establishment. They have no idea yet, how to adapt to life in this second consciousness era on Earth, the Age of Awakening.
Avoid Taking a Spiritual Side Trip #3.
Today’s Biggest Confusion
Imagine the confusion if:
Unknowingly, members of today’s Enlightenment Establishment habitually experienced life at an Astral Vibrational Frequency — PROCESS.
Yet those very same leaders were preaching their CONTENT as if personally connected with the Divine. Swooningly-lusciously connected — all the while taking a Spiritual Side Trip.
Tricky business, sorting out which is CONTENT versus which is PROCESS! Quality aura readings — and snapshots of consciousness (first introduced in Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening) — can bring you discernment about people in many professions, people you meet every day.
I encourage you to stop assuming that, inside, “Everyone is just like me.”
In the Age of Faith, that may have been true.
But now? In the Age of Awakening, every adult has a consciousness lifestyle. Most of these keep people locked out of noticing what really happens in objective reality.
Avoid Taking a Spiritual Side Trip #4.
For Example . . .
Sadly, when it comes to aiming to use their full potential, sigh! Many of the people you meet are like walking-talking examples of what NOT to do with your Consciousness Positioning Superpower.
For example, you might wish to take a look at our consumer article on “Enlightenment Teacher OR Coach OR Guide.”
Incidentally, this is still an open-ended service, where you can add nominees for free. (Instructions are included in that blogpost.) So far, at that article, I’ve researched 33 Enlightenment Teachers and only 3 of them are actually in Spiritual Enlightenment.
Evaluating how those Enlightenment Teachers are doing, using the criteria for Enlightenment Validation that you can read about here, guess what? The other 30 Enlightenment Teachers are nowhere close. Even worse, some of these influential teachers have crippled themselves, consciousness-wise.
Further Examples Can Bring You More Clarity
Therefore, in comments at the version of this article at my personal blog I will research two influential teachers, sharing snapshots of their consciousness:
Tracy Anderson, fitness influencer, profiled in the July issue of The Atlantic.
“In the glory days of celebrity magazines and gossip blogs, Anderson was ubiquitous. Proselytizing about how to get J. Lo’s butt or Gwyneth Paltrow’s anything.”
Samuel Malki, a Music & Wealth Influencer, popular with Gen-Z.
“The hip-hop artist creates videos showing off his wealth (and diamond-studded teeth) while making his audience laugh. What makes Malki so appealing for brands is how relatable he is.”
Avoid Taking a Spiritual Side Trip #5.
In Conclusion
Spirituality Seeker, consciousness does not come complete with street signs. You’ll do better — and grow faster on your chosen path — if you develop good skills of energetic literacy. That’s like word literacy, only it’s about what’s going on with a person’s spiritual consciousness.
You can learn to read chakra databanks on any human alive:
Either reading auras in person.
Or else by using regular photos for reference.
Yes, once you’ve developed good skills, they will serve you for life.
And yes, when you’ve got those good skills for energetic literacy, it sure helps that: Every regular photo IS an aura photo.
Until then, hang out at my books and personal blog. Since I often give examples where I’ll read chakra databanks for you.
Lacking discernment, you could fool yourself; or others might inadvertently fool you.
Rather than that, my goal is to help you to gain discernment. Since this is needed for making authentic progress toward using your full potential in life. Authentic progress is opposite to Spiritual Side Trips.
Questions to Protect You from Spiritual Side Trips
Spirituality Wisdom Seeker, by all means, answer these on your own.
And post a note with your answers.
In addition, if you like, ask me to answer any of these questions. Why not?
Question 1. Famous
When somebody is famous as a spiritual authority, like Eckhard Tolle, can’t you trust him to give you helpful advice? (The surprising answer may protect you from taking a Spiritual Side Trip.)
Question 2. Psychic Training
If you’re an intuitive person, or have done psychic development, can that protect you against Spiritual Side Trips? Won’t you be able to sense if a teacher or psychic is in trouble?
Question 3. Empaths
Empaths can tell what you’re thinking, right? They should be able to tell if a spiritual teacher is taking a Spiritual Side Trip. Right? Right???
Question 4. No Nonsense
Some people are firmly no nonsense. They’re very conservative, and not ashamed to tell you so. They could never get caught up in a Spiritual Side Trip, could they?
Question 5. Evangelicals Are Protected, Obviously
Isn’t it obvious that “good, God-fearing” believers would be protected against any Spiritual Side Trips?
Besides, isn’t it obvious that any alternate path could send you to Hell. And qualify as a Spiritual Side Trip!
If this article has helped you, please highlight, post a note, like, and clappppp.
Thank you, Rose, for warning against Spiritual Side Trips.
It could save a person so much time that could be put to growth instead.
I like the emphasis on becoming a thought leader - avoiding Spiritual Side Trips might mean doing things differently and not unthinkingly following just any popular idea.
