Fair warning: I’m not a psychologist, which is what many of you readers may initially expect. But did you know? Today’s energy healing can bring you far better results. Starting with Section 6 of this article, I’ll bring in the relevance of energy healing, with related DOs and DON’Ts about that, too.

DON’T Live Like You’re in Therapy
Unless you are in therapy, that is.
Yeah, why keep you readers waiting to learn about that one simple shift I’ve mentioned? The change you can make starting today Surprisingly easy, surprisingly helpful!
Keep reading to learn more. You stand to gain a modern understanding about what helps people living now to feel better.
Of course, you can continue with one or two favorite things you’ve learned from psychology. Surprisingly, though, many ambitious self-actualizing people keep loading themselves up with more and more pop psychology jobs. And that is the heavy load I’m warning you about here.
Do you know how Sigmund Freud became a self-help superstar? In 1901 he publishing “The Psychopathology of Everyday Life.” A self-help book, perhaps a bit gloomy by today’s standards.
Guess what happened next? Psychotherapy has been snowballing ever since. By now you’ll find pop psych just about everywhere. (For instance, maybe in your head?)

DO Move off the Trauma Train
Have you noticed how “trauma” — meant psychologically — has become crazy-popular?
They can also up the horror movie aspect of everyday life!
Regarding this article, Rose asks, why would you or I need to “understand the unthinkable.” How is that supposed to help us?
Hanya Yanagihara’s divisive 2015 bestseller, A Little Life, is often derided as Trauma Porn.
Related to this questionable art form, Darryl Lorenzo Wellington defines Trauma Porn as “media that showcases a group’s pain and suffering for the sake of entertainment.” Darryl makes the excellent point that Trauma Porn depends on exploiting of marginalized people.”
But Trauma Porn isn’t just for streaming entertainment. The word “trauma” screams at you from Facebook and other social media. Just now, searching on Facebook + Trauma, the results roar out an extremely depressing 290 MILLION hits on my Google. Let’s remember, Facebook wasn’t originally designed to be like a psych ward, was it?
All This Reminds Me of Grade Inflation, Only about Trauma
Spirituality Wisdom Seeker, think of a high school class where 90% of the students get an A every time. Pretty soon, that highest grade becomes meaningless.
Like grade inflation, seems like so many people these days are eager to interpret their histories as being filled with “trauma.” And why?
If you spend much time on Facebook — and I admit to going there briefly, daily — there is so much Trauma Talk, yoicks! I wasn’t surprised to learn about the following, a new low in the annals of TMI:
The Trauma Informed Group [on Facebook] is a community that shares information, news, and research on trauma-informed care, trauma recovery, and emotional healing.
Currently, that group has over 19 THOUSAND members. Those Facebook friends have sure graduated from sharing recipes and gossiping with the like-minded.

You Can Get a Life That Isn’t About Being in Therapy
Since you’re NOT in therapy, stop monitoring your emotions. Likewise, ideas about analyzing and controlling your emotions are crazy-popular. But you don’t have to follow that trend.
It’s HUMAN to have four different families of emotions. Your emotions will spontaneously shift between one and the next, shifting all your waking hours.
Do yourself a favor and take this next quiz. It’s multiple choice.

If Not Analyzing My Emotions, What Can I DO All Day Long?
There’s plenty to do when you’re not caught up in trying to control your emotions.
Often you won’t pay much attention to those emotions. Other times they’ll be very strong, so you might problem-solve. Yet, did you know? Most of your waking hours do NOT have to be spent on your emotions, front and center. For example:
DO consider giving back to society in general or your community in particular.
DO make it your business, every day, to find something new to learn. To enjoy. Something that is not about your emotions!
It’s like how all life around you is colorful. Sometimes you’ll stop to look at the thrilling shade of blue on a coffee cup. But no need to gaze, open-mouthed, at all the colors you see during a day. Don’t you have more to do?
Likewise, your life can improve when you DON’T dwell on your emotions. Or other people’s emotions. (Unless you’re raising a child who hasn’t yet learned how to talk, in which case you’re way too busy to try perfecting yourself emotionally.)
For a Better Emotional Life #5.
DO Live Your Life
Say things. Do things. Talk to other people. Whenever possible, do this in “energetic real time.”
Incidentally, you do know this next part, right?
Your Mobile Phone Doesn’t Count as “People.”
When I take my morning walk, I’ll see neighbors who are outside too. Every chance I get, I’ll give a friendly nod or say “Hello.”
Approximately 50% of these people won’t look at me. Or acknowledge me in any way.
Apparently, they already have the only friend they’ll ever need, their phone.
DON’T let that detached person be you! This next link can help you to right-size your relationship with your phone.

DO Consider Learning about Today’s Energy Healing
Did you know, it’s common to feel bad in ways that are not a psychological problem?
Sometimes it’s helpful to juggle finances so that you can live within your means.
Other times — maybe daily — you might choose to take a political action step. (I post one daily on Facebook, something with potential impact: volunteering this way will take just a minute of your precious time.)
Much everyday discontent has a very specific cause: Seems to me, effective Energy Healing can make a huge difference. Because of this simple fact of life. Energetic STUFF can get stuck in your aura, at a subconscious level.
Dedicated skills are needed to get this astral garbage out of you. Far beyond the healing approach so popular during the New Age Years: “Take out the bad energy. Put in good energy.”
Today’s energy healing isn’t just about energy. It’s about human.
In Energy Spirituality® we have this motto, “STUFF in auras can always, always, always be healed.” And then we receive targeted PUT-IN that helps us to use more of our potential in life.
One Caution, Though
DON’T depend on the energy healing you learned before the Shift. During the New Age Years — the decades before the Shift into the Age of Awakening — Important to note: What I’m about to share is nobody’s fault:
Beginner’s skills became crazy-popular. Very appealing to the billions of people who became newly energy sensitive during those years.
At the time, those energy skills were thrilling. Seemingly, very advanced. But now? They’re outdated, the Reiki and the Healing Touch and the Quantum Healing, and all those skills that became so popular right before the Shift into the Age of Awakening. All those forms of New Age Energy Healing!
But why are these beautifully-meant energy healing systems now so outdated? Strong on energy, weak on human! Find more detailed answers that can satisfy you about the consciousness history you’ve lived through. Here: Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening.
Meanwhile, You Can Use DISCERNMENT about Energy Healing
For instance, DON’T get any more energy clearings. They’re worse that a waste of time.

The Main Reason to Stop Monitoring Your Emotions
Ever hear this saying? The cure that’s worse than the disease.
Blaming your emotions of suffering on your emotions? That creates a never-ending mess. A mess that shows in very specific ways, if you’re doing Energy Spirituality ENERGY HEALING. Depending on how you’ve been working on yourself psychologically, there are different kinds of energetic STUFF that have gone straight into your aura. Then, remained stuck there.
That’s right, different kinds. Not just “bad energy.” So don’t ask Archangel Michael to take it away.
If you’d like an example of one type of energetic STUFF that commonly results from working on yourself psychologically, just ask.
Ironically, for as long as you’ve been doing pop psych and/or cleansing your aura daily, sigh! Guess what? Among other potential problems, you might mess up your chakra databanks. Including the 50 chakra databanks you have at your Heart Chakra.
Though remember, “STUFF in auras can always, always, always be healed.” Just don’t expect permanent energy healing to result from wishing on Archangel Michael.
Energy Spirituality ENERGY HEALING is for emotional growth and spiritual awakening. You won’t read about the results in “The Journal of the American Medical Association” (JAMA). But there’s a far better place to read about the results of that healing.
Your Aura, That’s Where
Your aura is the set of energy bodies around your physical body. Full of information. Expecially useful information if aim to learn Age of Awakening skills for energy healing.
DON’T call your aura an energy field. Not unless you’re a physicist.
When you hear somebody refer to the human energy field, guess what? That’s a sure tipoff. It’s time for that person to level up his or her understanding of energy healing.
Good quality energy healing will help you emotionally. How about that! Fortunately, I can assure you, these are not types of healing that can keep you busy for the rest of your life. Busywork like much New Age Energy Healing that — sorry — doesn’t permanently remove emotional and energetic STUFF in your chakra databanks.
To Sum Up
For a Better Emotional Life, and a Better Everything Life
Your Big DON’T Is Simple
Especially simple after you accustom yourself to letting go of some unhelpful habits! Try the following for a couple of weeks:
Don’t monitor your emotions or energies.
Don’t try to control them.
And don’t analyze every little thing that you do.
After a couple of weeks, check out your quality of life. If you’ve developed good skills of energetic literacy, starting with Stage 3 Energetic Literacy, you can find your results by researching your chakra databanks.

Very simple too, once you get used to it. Gently, humanly, pay attention to what happens in objective reality. This shows in what you see, hear, smell, taste, touch.
Regular human life!
Through objective reality you learn about yourself and others.
Who says what? Who does what?
Automatically, without trying to do this on purpose, you’ll also encounter some subjective emotions. For instance, about what you like and what you don’t like. No need to work on yourself over that. (Just now, 1.7 BILLION hits for that on my Google.)
Being human — and living now, after Personhood has been discovered — it’s natural for you to live like a person.
Being human is not a mental health problem.
